World AIDS Day

From Health Song:

World AIDS Day is Monday, December 1. AOL's Health Community will begin its observance at 12 Midnight ET in Health III, and it will end the following night at 3 am ET (12 Midnight on the West Coast). I'm pleased to tell you that, once again, our chat room will be hosted for the entire 27 hours, thanks to fellow volunteer leaders in AOL's Health Community. You may not recognize some of them, but I'm sure you'll make them feel welcome in our little corner of cyberspace.

I won't ramble about what World AIDS Day means to me, because what it means to you is far more important. Past gatherings have taken on various characteristics of a family reunion, where we catch up on each other's lives, wonder (and perhaps share clues) about those who are missing, and, of course, remember those we have lost. And like our regularly scheduled HIV/AIDS chats, we will share information and support.

Rumor has it that this might be the last year for our cherished chat room before all chats transition to the web-based rooms. So this might be your last chance to look around and take a mental picture. Please spread the word, and I hope we see each other on Monday!
